This type of houseplant can also be grown outside in a frost free area, but bring in , in the fall if you want to save it. Spider plants produce many offsets or I should say baby spider plants, you can leave this on the parent plant, cut them off , and or plant them in their own pot and repeat the cycle of growing an adult plant. Propagation is easy with the spider plant. The variegated spider plant also seeds and what I noticed is it grows to a solid green plant making them not true from seed of the parent plant. It does not take very long to get several plants of the spider plants , they grow fast and are a pretty easy carefree plant provided you give them all they need to grow. You can grow the spider plant in baskets or standing containers they do well in each, but make sure you have some depth so the baby spider plant cascade over the pot. It blooms with the blooms lasting only for one day and they are orchid looking. The foliage looks that of a strap. Real flat, green and about 3/4″ wide with about 4-5 “straps” in the cluster per root. The “spidering” babies have little bulb looking root for propagating.
I have pictures and hope this allows me to post them. If not, I’ll have to ask in a gardening forum.
Any help, or suggestions are appreciated.

Neomarcia also called walking iris, or poor mans orchid fit that description, but daylilies also fit that description.

this boston fern was outside for the summer.i brought it in a few weeks ago.it is doing great so far and has alot of new growth.hope it does good inside.also looked nice with the morning sun shinning on it.
