  1. I bought a pair of these for free motion quilting. I had tried the red ring gadget without much success and thought for $4.00 I’d give these a try. These are FABULOUS for free motion quilting! Gives you a great feeling of control; lightweight to wear. Wish I had heard about these earlier in my free motion quilting endeavours.

  2. I recently bought the green version of these gloves as a gift. Since there are no reviews yet of the purple, here we go:

The biggest surprise for me was the packaging itself – the tags said they are Equestrian gloves, for working with horses. There is a big picture of a horse on the tag, saying something like “Your horse will thank you for it!” No where on the package did it say work gloves for gardening, which is the use I had entended them for. However, the package did say “Atlas NT370 Nitrile” before the words equestrian, so I just figure that is the way they come. I took off the tags before wrapping.

I bought the small size and tried them on, but there is a little extra room at the finger tips – I have child sized hands so that’s not surprising.

I was impressed by the Nitrile covering – I can see how it would be easy to work with small seeds – the Nitrile is a slip-proof grip. The Nitrile is thick enough to protect your hands from thorns and things, yet thin enough to have some sensation of what you’re doing. They don’t seem to be something that would tear easily.

The places where the Nitrile covers – bottom of hands and finger tips – would be waterproof, while the top of hand and wrist are made of a breathable weave – like a thick, soft mesh fabric. The packaging says the fabric does not get stiff when it gets wet. Appears to be washable, which is always great. It doesn’t say washable anywhere on the packaging, but the ad on Amazon says washable – well, you can just tell that they could be washed.

Bottom line, great glove for any type of outdoor work – inlcuding working with animals and plants. They are very comfortable, and I can tell that your hands wouldn’t get as hot as some of the other garden gloves available. Would buy them again, especially for the price!
